Social Studies Course




I taught Social Course for prathom 1/1. In this subject is divided into 2 parts. First, Buddhism and second is Social. I taught the students make meditation, and let them do it every hour before the class start. And in Social class I tried to looked for Kamlikit (กรรมลิขิต) videos. They liked to watched it very much. After the end of video, I asked for some students to told the stoy once again.

Mathematic


I teach Math in prathom 1/1 everyday in the morning. Some students can't with the wrong number for example, I said "5" they write "4". It's terrible. And they don't know how to write the number in Thai. So I let them write it everyday before the class start. The result is all the students can write it correctly.

way to solve the problems

The alphabet problem
I give the alphabet dot for them to do on their vocation.

The greeting problem
I play the games in the class. First, I command the students "Stand up" and "Sit down". After that the captain command her classmates to stand up and sit down. And I change the commander. After the practic the students can remember and do it correctly.

English Problems

I teach English once a week. So it's many problems. My students in prathom 1-3 can't write a-z. It's terribly. I don't know how to teach them write. But I tell them they have to work with my homework. I meet one of the class once a week. So they lost how to greeting me when I come in to their class. They can't remember "Good moring" that is use in the morning. They greet me "Good afternoon" in my morning class. And the captain can remember how to tell the classmates stand up.
Science Class
I teach Science for prathom 3/1, I'm so boring because I didn't learn this subject for 5-6 years. My knowledge is weakness. I don't know how to teach and demonstrate it correctly. I teach it 2 times a week that higher than English. I teach English one a week. And the equipments for demostrate are inadequate for students too.

In my opinion, I think the students may be wast their time to learn with me in the science subject.

In this link you can write the alphabet online.
You can change the colours when you write the alphabet or change the line of the pencil.
I think this web site is very attractive. But I can't bring it for teaching my students. Because my school doesn't have the wireless internet. That it's so sad for me because in this web site I can write the alphabet on the web and the students can see it on TV.

Phonotic Alphabet
This is the video about phonatic.
The children like to pronouce the alphabet very much.
But when I used in my classroom I must to pause it every alphabet because I must to listen students' pronouce.
In prathom 1 and 2, I can't use this video because the students can't pronouce the Phonatic. They attemp to practice the alphabet now.
So I use it in prathom 3 students. Some of them can pronouce it clearly. But I try to pronouce it for them too. Because the video sound is very quite. At the end of this period the students can pronouce a-h correctly.

Number 1-10
This video is about number 1-10. I use it in my classroom today for pathom 1-3.
The children like it very much. It easy to listen the number.
They pronouce it clearly. After I present this video for 2 times the students in prathom 1 tell me to play it again and again. I play it again and again. And I'm surprised because my students can pronouce it correctly. I take some race for them. Divide them into 4 groups. I write the number on the board one by one and let them answer "What the number is?" and they play this game with fun. So I feel happy too.
In prathom 2 I play this video for 3 times. And let the students play game too. But I hand out the work for them.
In prothom 3 I play this video for 2 times. Let's them play game, it's funny. They can play quickly. So it's not boring. After playing I give the worksheet for them.

Alphabet

This video for primary students. I found that because I had to use it to teach my students in Prathom 1. I have a new problem that is my students can't write a-z. So I try to search for material for them. In Prathom 1, I observed that the students like to watch and pronouce the words.

They don't like to write and read the alphabet from the book. This video is very attractive for them. The pronouce is cleary.

When I use this video I must to pause it for a while because I let my students repeat one by one of the alphabet. If they pronouce it isn't clear I let them pronouce it again and again. But sometimes I review the video again.

I hope this video is good for your children too.

After teaching by using this video, Most students can pronouce the alphabet correctly. But some students pronouce the "h" wrong. I try to teach them latter. And most of them can't write the alphabet. So I try to find a new way to teach them write.

In troduction
After teaching for a month I have been looking for a way for my students to study with happyness. I observed my students. In some class the children like to play games and the other class like to listen or watch video. But many children like to listen and watch video very much. So I have to find video and song for them. The links that I use to download it appears on the right on "My favorites Link". You can click them to find your favorite too!

My students have enjoyed learning the tools that I find for them. But some student try to annoy me. So now I try to find the way to brief them.
